My favorite LiveWell challenge so far has been the health assessment.  LiveWELL has taught me to take care of myself better.  I am exercising, stretching and taking time for my well-being.  I love it!  I have lost eight pounds, and I have been seeing a nutrition counselor named Corey at the HSHS affiliate Joslin Diabetes Center in Springfield.  I have begun a low calorie, low carb eating program, and I have also started walking with my buddy, Winston.  He likes the extra time with his Mom and he loves barking at the squirrels in the park where we walk.

My favorite LiveWELL challenge so far has been meeting with a Prevea Health Coach.  For me, LiveWELL has helped me to stay on track with improving my emotional and physical well-being.  I have lost 59 pounds since this time last year and feel SO much better!

My favorite LiveWELL challenge so far has been to cheer someone on.  I've enjoyed LiveWELL because it does not just focus on physical health, but mental and emotional health as well. It gives me the opportunity to see what others are doing to become the best version of themselves. It has made me look at certain aspects of my life that I wasn't aware that I could approve on.   To the left is a photo of myself, at a Cardinals game on opening day 2017. When I go to, or watch Cardinals baseball I am inspired by athletes' physical determination and drive. I am no professional athlete; but I do enjoy constantly making, and achieving new goals whether it be at the gym, at work, or at home.

My favorite LiveWELL challenge so far has been the 10,000 daily steps.  I started trying to improve my health in June 2017, so the LiveWELL program has helped motivate me almost since the beginning of my journey.  I am exercising almost every day and have been able to achieve and maintain a 25 pound weight loss.

My favorite LiveWELL challenge so far has been keeping track of daily steps.  HSHS LiveWELL makes me more conscious on a daily basis of several healthy practices. I am reminded to stretch, get my steps in, and get enough sleep. Even though it is only a program on the computer, it keeps me accountable and helps me reach my goals on a daily basis. Last year I lost 40 pounds and have been doing better at adopting a healthy lifestyle.  HSHS LiveWELL is now a part of that journey!

My favorite LiveWELL challenge so far has been to lose weight.  HSHS LiveWELL has been good for me. I'm 61 years old, and for some time I knew I should be doing something.  This has helped me to get started to really care about myself again. I started on February 21, 2018 and to date I have lost 15 pounds. I have not had any soda and work out each day with a CD. Thank you, HSHS, for having LiveWELL!

My favorite LiveWELL challenge so far has been the 10,000 steps per day.  I joined to obtain the benefits financially and physically.  Since then, I have embraced LiveWELL and truly acted upon the goals.  I have become a more disciplined, healthy individual. I have successfully lost weight and feel more toned. My financial stewardship is healthy also. I needed something to keep me accountable. Kudos to this plan.

My favorite part about the LiveWELL challenges are that they are more than just a one-time thing, like the stretching challenge that is three days a week.  It makes me want to go out and do things.  There are weekly challenges, daily challenges, and new challenges to look forward to.  The challenges also aren't just about eating healthier or losing weight, they deal with everyday needs like budgets and work-life balance.  They certainly have opened my mind and eyes to more new things to do to make my life better.

LiveWELL has encouraged me to stay on track with my goals and I have been more active since I joined! I love that HSHS offers a program like this! The variety of opportunities is also appealing to participate in the program.  It does not only take into account healthy eating and exercise, but other aspects to healthy living.

My favorite LiveWELL challenge so far has been the health coaching.  I had back surgery one year ago.  Since then and with the help of LiveWELL, I've lost 35 pounds.  I've also learned to take care of myself instead of constantly pouring myself into others, and that our mental health is just as important as our physical health.  I look forward to continuing on my journey of weight loss, physical and mental strengthening.  All with the support I found through LiveWELL!
